Glow in the Dark Dance Party a success!

The event was awesome! A ton of of people showed up (around 500-600 by 11 PM), the sound was great, and myself and John had a good time spinning.

The event started at around 10:30 PM in a awesomely decorated SAU cafeteria, and John started it off. We switched up DJs around every hour, and kept pumping great electronic choons :D At one point we had a few technical difficulties with the sound, but fixed that quick and kept the crowd moving.

Almost all of the music was recorded, and that will be up on the downloads section in the next couple days. Many thanks to tech crew for making the event possible, which included the stage, lighting, soundsystem, and recording mics. AND...I won't forget College Activities Board for putting this event together with sponsorship from Red Bull. I personally had a lot of fun, and I suppose John could say the same.

Here are my tracklists for what was recorded (I don't have the tracklists for John's stuff, but if you recognize the songs, please send me one):

DJ RPG - Part of hour 1:

1) Rihanna - Don't Stop the Music (Wideboys Club Mix) (DJ RPG Intro edit)
2) Jordan & Boryka - Sun is Rising (DJ RPG re-edit)
3) Haddaway - What Is Love (Club Mix)
4) Yellow Blackbird - Superfly (Andy Moor Remix)
5) Global Deejays feat. Technotronic - Get Up (General Electric Version)
6) Nic Chagall - Back to San Francisco (DJ RPG re-edit)
7) Darude - Sandstorm (Jan Driver Remix)

DJ RPG - Part of hour 2:

1) Kernkraft 400 (Sport Chant Stadium Remix) (DJ RPG re-edit)
2) The Quest - C-Sharp
3) C.J. Stone - Shine (Heart of Stone Mix)
4) Paul Van Dyk - New York City (Featuring Ashley Tomberlin)
5) Kyau & Albert & Marc Marberg - Megashira (Original Mix)
6) Ronski Speed feat. Sir Adrian - The Space We Are

Podcast Up!

I have finished the narration for the Trance Journey sets, and have successfully submitted the podcast for review on the iTunes Music store.

I decided to leave out Trance Journey #'s 1-5 because those were really just experimental, and some weren't that well mixed. The original Trance Journey #'s 6-10 are now part of the iTunes podcast as #'s 1-5 (without titles) (Yes, it is a little confusing). Unfortunately, I am unable to upload any of the music publicly to this website, so the mixes will only be available for download through the iTMS. Trance Journey #'s 1-5 have been erased from the music section. If you would like to hear those, and are a member of this website, send me a PM and I may be able to get you copies.

Trance Journey will be updated every other Sunday, and there will be a link to the iTMS podcast on the main page and music page of this site.

Trance Journey #10 Done!

I have just finished mixing a flawless Trance Journey #10, and it should be up within the next couple days. This one is my personal favorite, so I hope you like it! :D

Check the music page for a tracklist to this mix.

I am going to put narration on all of the mixes this weekend, and will try to set up a podcast for Trance Journey through iTunes. There will be a news post when that happens, so don't forget to check this website!

Trance Journey #10 in the works

I have been a little behind on updates for the mixes...Trance Journey #8 was out in mid-August, and #9 wasn't released until late September. I am trying to stay on ~30 day updates, but am considering going to 14 day updates, depending on if I get the podcast set up in iTunes.

I have compiled a tracklist for Trance Journey #10. I am REALLY excited about this one. Every 10 episodes will be a set that I am especially interested in doing. Number 10 will be MASSIVE :D

The set may be mixed this/next week, and will definitely be available early October.

on a side note...

I was announced on DJ Addison's podcast this week. In Episode #63, he announces some promo information at about 7 1/2 minutes till the end. Look out for Trance Journey #9 next week as part of Rotation!

Session #6 To be Recorded Live, Mixes to Include Narration

The gig coming up at RIT is still on, and I will be playing a 2 hour set. I was told that the guest estimate for RIT events such as this is around 500-600 students, BUT theoretically 1000-1200 people COULD fit in the cafeteria. John and I haven't decided the order yet, but I will either be playing first or last. He will be doing mostly remixes, electro, house, and maybe some hip-hop and other genres. Right now, my plan is to start with house, underground, electro, and club and then transition into trance for the rest of the set. The tracklist I have in mind so far is awesome in my opinion; I don't think you will be disappointed.

This mix will be part of the "Sessions" mixes I do, and I will get the tracklist up and make the file available for download. It will be recorded live during the show. I am also thinking of broadcasting this to Dan's radio server at the same time it is being recorded, which you can find on the Music page of this site.

The other news is that the mixes will soon include narration. I am going to try to get my mixes on iTunes as a music podcast, so they will need to be narrated and re-processed as aac's.

DJ Addison and I have been exchanging emails for the past few days, and Trance Journey #9 will be included in his podcast on Oct. 2nd. Once again, the protocol link for that podcast is here

. DJ Addison also has his own website, found here

Trance Journey #9 Tonight!

I have finished coming up with my tracklist idea, and am confident to mix Trance Journey #9 tonight. The mix will be called "Peaceful Trance 2," because the feel and mood of the mix closely resembles "Trance Journey #5 - Peaceful Trance." To give a bit of a hint as to what it will be like, I can say that it's a progressive and relaxed trance set, specifically for easy listening.

A tracklist update will be up this weekend in the Music section, and this will be available on the facebook group.

*update* The set has been mixed, and it is now available on the facebook group. The music section of this website has also been updated with a tracklist. Enjoy!

DJ RPG on iTunes!

I have been talking to a professional DJ in the past few days, and he has decided that he will put my next mix in his DJ podcast, available on iTunes. His name is DJ Addison, and his podcast is Rotation. Rotation is a weekly or bi-weekly music podcast that features new and old electronic and dance music in a 2 hour session. Thousands of people listen to it, because it is available on other country's iTunes Music Stores as well.

The mix (above) that I am going to do tonight will be featured as a 1 hour time slot of his October 2nd mix. He also will announce promo information about me in the episode preceding the Oct. 2nd one.

Rotation can be found here
